“Most charming pub in Dartmouth.
Cosiest place ever! And reasonably priced. A must in the autumn/winter, find a spot near the open fire.”

“Steak deal
We were lucky enough to be directed to the Cherub Inn by two tourists who told us about the Wednesday offer of two steaks for £30. The steaks were not just good value they were delicious, perfectly cooked and served with grilled cherry tomatoes, peas, chips and onion rings. We can also recommend the locally brewed Jail Break beer and the great atmosphere in one of the oldest buildings in Dartmouth.

“Lovely tiny old fashioned pub
Popped in while on a quick visit to Dartmouth. I wanted to find somewhere that was charging less than £10 for a local crab sandwich! Lovely tiny old pub, off the main street up an alley. Given the size of the place we were lucky to get a table with 2 seats.
We each had a sandwich hand a pint, which came with a little side salad that had a delicious dressing on it. Nice bread and decent amount of crab. Very pleasant barmaid who was only too happy to refill our water bottles from the tap. We couldn’t stay too long due to needing to catch a ferry, so we checked if there was a significant wait on food, but there was not.
Fascinating to imagine the sights that the walls of this tiny old pub have seen over many, many years.

“Great stop for lunch
We visit the Cherub every time we visit Dartmouth and it’s quaint old pub which has been serving beer in the town since 1380. Large choice of beers and it’s a Camra,s delight offering a discount to members on real ale.
It has both a lunch and dinner menu with a small eating area on the first floor. Food is good and we really enjoyed the homemade Lasagne. Friendly staff. Great to see the old place is doing well. ”
